Dr. Chong was born in Seoul, Korea and grew up in Portland, Oregon. He attended undergraduate school at Oregon State University, where he graduated with his Master’s degree in Biochemistry and Biophysics in 1999. He then attended Temple University and completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2005. Dr. Chong also received his specialty degree in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry from Temple in 2008. When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Chong spends time with his wife and their 4 year old son. He also enjoys playing goalie in soccer. Dr. Chong served on the AEGD Faculty at Temple from 2010-2013. He is certified for IV sedation, Botox and dental implants. Dr. Chong has diplomatic status for Periodontics and Implantology.

Dr. Corbitt was raised in Atlanta, Georgia and attended Georgia Tech receiving a degree in Chemical Engineering and a Certificate in Biomaterials. In Dental School and in his orthodontic residency, Dr. Corbitt was a Hinman Scholar and conducted research in the area of dental materials and authored several publications. He was an assistant professor at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, where he taught orthodontics, treated patients, and conducted research. He currently lives in Cumming with his wife Frances (a pharmacist), and his three children. In his spare time, Dr. Corbitt enjoys gardening, reading, and personal fitness training. Dr. Corbitt is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the American Board of Orthodontists. He is also a member and deacon of Bethany Primitive Baptist Church in Suwanee, Georgia.

Dr. Debowsky was born and grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida. He attended both Undergraduate and Dental School in a special Combined Degree program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Upon graduation, Dr. Debowsky served in the U.S. Air Force Dental Corps for five years, during which he completed a one year Advanced Education Program for General Dentistry. While on active duty, Dr. Debowsky was stationed at Andrews/Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, D.C., Incirlik Air Force Base in Turkey, and finally at Charleston Air Force Base in South Carolina.
During his Air Force career, Dr. Debowsky was able to develop a wide range of surgical, endodontic, and special restorative Dental skills. After leaving Charleston, Bryan chose to settle in Tucker with his wife Michelle, their young son and daughter, and a hound dog named Rosie. Dr. Debowsky is an avid soccer player (ask him about his Air Force soccer experiences) and enjoys playing and following many sports as well as traveling. He has also recently added Amateur Radio to his list of hobbies!Dr. Debowsky joined the DentFirst family in 2005 and patients can visit him at our Johns Creek, McDonough, Stonecrest, and Norcross locations.

Dr. Edwards is an Atlanta native who spent eight years at Emory University earning both a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Graduating first in his class, he received an award of merit in three specialties (periodontics, endodontics, and prosthetics) and is a member of OKU (the national honorary dental society). He was in private practice in Cedartown and Cave Spring, Georgia for 18 years. During this period, he was a dental consultant for Georgia School for the Deaf and the Public Health Departments of Floyd, Polk, Paulding and Haralson Counties.
Ken has participated in many medical mission trips (1977, 1978, 1980, 2005) to St. Vincent, Dominican Republic, Peru, and Ethiopia. Since 1960, The Boy Scouts of America have been an integral part of his life. Having achieved the rank of Eagle in 1964, he has continued to be an adult teacher and mentor. Dr. Galvin was born in the Presidential Suite of the Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia (during World War II this suite was used as a maternity ward!) After the war, the Galvin family moved to Atlanta and Bill grew up in Decatur, Georgia. He currently lives with his wife, Sandy and two daughters in Duluth.
Dr. Galvin served as a Major in the US Army Dental Corps in Stuttgart, Germany (where he was able to travel extensively through Europe), and then was an Associate Professor of Oral Medicine at Emory Dental School for 13 years. He has been associated with DENTFIRST since 1979 and Dr. Dowd since 1976.
In his free time, Bill enjoys tennis, golf, fly-fishing, cooking and is an avid skier. Patients can visit Dr. Galvin at our DentFirst Norcross office.

Dr. McMahon-Harley was born in St. Andrew, Jamaica W.I. She migrated with her family to the USA at the age of 15. She was a Phi Beta Kappa Honor Soceity member and graduated Magna Cum Laude from college.
Dr. McMahon-Harley has two children, Ryan and Marie, and lives with her husband, Sidney Harley, in Locust Grove. Her hobbies include reading, gardening and watching sports – especially track and field. Dr. McMahon-Harley is a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Hays, his wife Marie, and two of their younger children live in Fayetteville, Georgia. Born in Atlanta, he attended Woodward Academy (Georgia Military Academy) where his parents taught in the music and business departments. At Georgia State, he was an award winning Organic Chemistry student before deciding on a career in dentistry. In addition to spending time with his family and new grandchild, he enjoys weight lifting, golfing, running, reading novels, and traveling to any beach. Dr. Hays particularly likes crown-and-bridge restorative dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association and Northern District Dental Society.
Dr. Hays joined DentFirst in 1985 and enjoys treating patients in our McDonough office.

Dr. Horace was born and raised in the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. At age 14, Karen moved to Lakewood, New Jersey. Dr. Horace attended Howard University for her undergraduate degree and for dental school. After graduating dental school, she completed a general practice residency at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. From there, she completed her specialty training in periodontics at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She enjoys involving her patients in their periodontal care, and is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, and the National Dental Association. Dr. Horace lives in Avondale Estates with her husband, Donald, and their two daughters. When she’s not practicing dentistry, she enjoys volunteering at her daughter’s school and being a Girl Scout troop leader. Ask her about her adventures in scouting sometime!
