Dr. Abes is a native Atlantan, residing near Piedmont Park. She joined DentFirst Dental Care in June of 2000 after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. While in school, Dr. Abes helped in the rebirth of the student chapter of Alpha Omega – an International Dental Fraternity. She also served as the local chapter President of the Alpha Omega Chapter here in Atlanta. Dr. Abes enjoys treating patients young and old. She loves all aspects of dentistry and her passions are aesthetics and restoring dental implants. She also enjoys volunteering her time at the Ben Massell Dental Clinic in Midtown and has participated in the Georgia Mission of Mercy.
She spends her free time with her two kids who are both very active in sports. Dr. Abes is also very active and enjoys biking, running, swimming, practicing yoga, traveling and spending time on the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.

Dr. Tesser was born in New York City and raised in Long Island, New York in the Five Towns areas. He attended Brandeis University where he earned his undergraduate degree in Biology and Sociology in 1975. Following the completion of this degree, he attended Georgetown School of Dentistry where he graduated in 1978. Dr. Tesser and his wife, Diane, who is a retired dental hygienist, have been married for 35 years. They have two children, Meredith and Joshua, and one granddaughter, Eliana. When he isn’t practicing dentistry, Dr. Tesser enjoys spending time with his 1-year-old granddaughter, watching sports, learning about American Civil War History and traveling with his family. His family’s favorite destinations are Spain, Italy and France.
Dr. Tesser received his Periodontal training at Farleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. From 1988-2008, he ran the Periodontal Department at Beth Israel Hospital in New York. Dr. Tesser and his wife have a 12-year-old lab named Sadie. Mrs. Tesser is passionate about fitness and exercise and enjoys long walks with Sadie! Dr. Tesser joined DentFirst Dental Care in 2017 and patients can visit him at the DentFirst McDonough, Jonesboro, Smyrna, Norcross and Kennesaw locations.

Dr. Amiri was born and grew up in Teheran, Iran. After her first year of University in Teheran, she moved to Germany where she attended both Undergraduate and Dental School in a special combined degree program at the University of Hamburg. In addition to her studies, she also worked as a Nurse at the hospital. Upon her graduation in Europe, Dr. Amiri moved to Atlanta where she learned English at Georgia Tech and then continued her dental training at NYU in New York City. She then elected to rejoin her family in Atlanta and began practicing with DentFirst and Endodontics (for which she won an award at NYU!). In her spare time, Dr. Amiri enjoys family time with her three nieces and one nephew, and traveling. She is also fluent in English, German, and Farsi!

Dr. Joseph Attardo, DDS

Dr. Attardo was born and raised in Rochester, New York. He attended SUNY at Buffalo where he earned his undergraduate degree in Biology in 1971. Following the completion of this degree, he attended New York University College of Dentistry where he graduated in 1975. Dr. Attardo and his wife have been married for 30 years and have one daughter together who also lives in Atlanta, Georgia. When he isn’t practicing dentistry, Dr. Attardo enjoys golfing, traveling and watching sports.
Dr. Attardo has been the attending dentist at a local nursing home for more than 30 years! He also enjoys treating children 3 years and up. Dr. Attardo has had special training and experience at the University of Rochester Eastman Dental School in treating younger patients. He joined DentFirst Dental Care in 2016 and patients can visit him at the DentFirst Perimeter and Mall of Georgia locations.

Dr. Baek graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUNY Dental in Buffalo and was accepted into the periodontal specialty program at Columbia University where he trained to provide dental implants and deliver the highest level of periodontal care to his patients. Born of Korean parents in Brooklyn, he and his family soon moved to Argentina. As a result he is totally fluent in English, Spanish and Korean! He studied in Argentina where he did his General Practice Residency at the Bernardino Rivadavia Hospital, and then attended school in both Buffalo and New York City before deciding to call Atlanta, Georgia his home. In his spare time he likes to play golf and soccer, and relaxes with his wife Kelly and their daughter Emily. Pastimes include sitting down with a good book or on a river bank waiting for the fish to bite. Dr. Baek is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association and Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the academic honors dental society. Dr. Barnes was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She originally wanted a career in the exciting world of broadcast advertising but her life’s path led her to the dental profession. Dr. Barnes is currently also a staff dentist with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Atlanta, and in her spare time enjoys reading, teaching zumba, martial arts, and traveling throughout the U.S. She loves communicating the value of having a beautiful smile and great oral health to her patients.

Dr. Blass was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. He attended Emory University where he obtained a B.A. degree. Dr. Blass then decided that he would continue his education at Emory University at the School of Dentistry. He has been with DentFirst since 2011. He is married to his wife, Betty, and together they have three very accomplished adult children. He has served our country in the U.S. Airforce. When Dr. Blass is not practicing dentistry, you can find him gardening and planting vegetables.

Dr. Lisa Chatman attended the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa for her undergraduate studies. Following graduation, she attended Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. With her dental degree in hand, Dr. Chatman then attended the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry residency program where she received additional and specialized training; treating sedated children as well as hospitalized and other medically compromised patients. She first joined DentFirst in 2000.
Dr. Chatman was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She has been married to her husband, Keifer Rackley, since October 2008. Keifer has worked for the Southern Company since 1998. Their son Keifer Langston was born in May 2010. She also has a beautiful step-daughter who currently attends Georgia State University.
She and her family recently moved to Kennesaw. Dr. Chatman loves traveling and a few of her favorite destinations are Turks and Caicos, Antigua, St. Lucia, Jamaica, Spain and various parts of Mexico. She enjoys preventative and cosmetic dentistry, but, most of all, she enjoys seeing her patients smile! Patients can visit Dr. Chatman at our DentFirst Kennesaw and Smyrna locations.
