Julie Pickens Bio

Julie Pickens joined Dentfirst in August 1997 as a hygiene assistant at the Duluth location. After graduating with her Dental Hygiene Degree from Gainesville College and Lanier Technical Institute in June 1998, she began as a full time registered dental hygienist at our Duluth and Cumming locations. A few years later, she joined the staff at the newly opened Dentfirst Buford location in 2000. Her Buford root grow deep as her grandmother is a Class of 1942 Buford High School. Her husband is also a Buford High School graduate. Julie along with her parents are North Gwinnett graduates. She pursued dental hygiene as a career to help patients reach their goal of optimum oral health. When not at Dentfirst, Julie and her husband Richard, a Firefighter for Rockdale County and Project Manager for CLS, enjoy spending time watching their three daughters play basketball and softball. They have a cat named Bugsy and a Dalmatian named Duke.
