Dr. Lauren Shefrin, DDS

Dental School: University of Michigan 2001 – DDS
Undergraduate School: University of Florida 1997/B.S. Psychology

Dr. Shefrin was born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Orlando, Florida. She was a Dean’s List student and a member of Florida Scholars during college. While studying, she conducted research in the University of Florida’s microbiology lab and also worked at Disney World—where you might have spotted her in costume as Chip, Dale, Roger Rabbit, or Gonzo.

After dental school, Dr. Shefrin advanced her training through a one-year General Practice Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, followed by a one-year fellowship in Endodontics at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She then continued her specialized training with an additional year of endodontic study at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor.

Dr. Shefrin now resides in Cumming with her husband and their children, Abby and Seth. In her spare time, she enjoys vegetable gardening, Mediterranean cooking, and various home crafts. She has a strong passion for endodontics and cosmetic dentistry and takes great pride in helping improve her patients’ smiles and overall quality of life.
