Dr. Lofters was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. David loved sports and, in high school, played varsity basketball, ice hockey, baseball, and volleyball. His competitive drive and discipline carried into his academic career. While attending Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama, he worked as a barber, all while consistently earning a place on the Dean’s List and the National Dean’s List.

During dental school at Howard University, Dr. Lofters was inducted into OKU, the National Dental Honor Society—an honor reserved for only a select group of top-performing students. His commitment to excellence and patient care has remained a constant throughout his career.

David and his wife now live in Marietta and have two teenage sons. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys playing classical piano, golf, and basketball, as well as expressing his creativity through acrylic painting and pencil drawing. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and the Northern District Dental Society, and is dedicated to continuing education and staying current in his field.
