Dr. Galvin was born in the Presidential
Suite of the Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs, West
Virginia (during World War II this suite was used as a maternity
ward!) After the war, the Galvin family moved to Atlanta and
Bill grew up in Decatur, Georgia. He currently lives with his
wife, Sandy and two daughters in Duluth.
Dr. Galvin served as a Major in the US
Army Dental Corps in Stuttgart, Germany (where he was able to
travel extensively through Europe), and then was an Associate
Professor of Oral Medicine at Emory Dental School for 13 years.
He has been associated with DENTFIRST since 1979 and Dr. Dowd
since 1976.
In his free time, Bill enjoys tennis,
golf, fly-fishing, cooking and is an avid skiier.
