Dr. Fowler was born and raised in
Atlanta, Georgia; in fact he married his high school science
teacher's daughter! In high school, Ken was President of the
Student Government and the National Honor Society. In college he
achieved the Dean's List each year and graduated Phi Beta Kappa
and Summa Cum Laude.
He was granted a full fellowship to study
at the University of Rennes in France, where he became fluent in
French. Following graduation he was drafted by the US Army and
served in the Medical Laboratory in Landstuhl, Germany. During
this time he decided to pursue a career in Dentistry. In Dental
School, Dr. Fowler was active in the publication of a variety of
research projects.
After receiving his dental degree, Dr.
Fowler returned to a career in the US Army and Wiesbaden,
Germany, Ft. Louis, Washington, Ft. Stewart, Georgia; and
finally as DENTAC Commander of the Redstone Arsenal in
Huntsville, Alabama where he retired with the rank of Colonel.
He currently lives in Duluth with his wife Elinor and enjoys
jogging and reading in his spare time. Dr. Fowler is a member of
the American Dental Association and the Academy of General
Dentistry and continues to enjoy all aspects of Family
Dentistry.
