Dr. Parker was born and grew up in Fort Valley, Georgia. In high school,
he was a member of the football, basketball, and tennis teams as well as a track runner.
Following graduation, Dr. Parker attended Tuskegee University, receiving his Bachelor's
degree in three years, and then began the Masters-in-Education program at Fort Valley State
University while teaching high school Biology. Even though Dr. Parker was from a long family
tradition of educators, he decided to change his career to Dentistry. After completing
Dental School, Dr. Parker received advanced training in General Dentistry at Provident
Hospital, and as a U.S. Army Dentist, served in Watchula, Florida, Columbus,
Georgia (Ft. Benning), Schweinfurt, Germany, Savannah, Georgia (Ft. Stewart),
Ft. Hood, Texas, and finally Lawton, Oklahoma. Today, Dr. Parker enjoys all aspects of
restorative dentistry, and is a member of the American Dental Association, the
Georgia Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Anthony and his wife
Dr. Lauren Parker, also a dentist, reside in Ellenwood with their
three teenage children and three dogs (a poodle, a pomeranian, and a rat terrier),
and in his spare time enjoys snow skiing, running, and attending Broadway plays--ask him
his favorite!. Visit Dr. Parker at DentFirst offices in Jonesboro and McDonough.
